We were so glad that the sun shone here in our village today. I sometimes feel that Good Friday should be dull and dismal, rather than bright and sunny, but we were grateful that our planned activities could take place in the dry. We traditionally meet for a united service and walk up a local hill with a large wooden cross, but this year we exchanged the service for prayer stations and the walk also incorporated a treasure hunt for the children. I had forgotten just how exciting it is for a six year old to stamp a little booklet with Easter pictures, discovered at each place where we stopped to hear the story and pray and sing. The evidence is in today’s photo!
I wonder how you have marked Good Friday in your own community, church or home?
