I have today arrived back home in Devon after Methodist Conference and the London District concert. The suitcase is unpacked and the washing has been done. I will try to share a few moments from last week over the next few days, but I hope you won’t mind a personal post today.

When Conference ended on Thursday I caught up with our youngest daughter, Katie, and her lovely fiancé, George, and we enjoyed supper together. Since then I have stayed with another very valued friend, Rosemary, on the right in this photo.

On Saturday we visited Rosemary’s parents and I photographed Rosemary and her Mum beside the kitchen cupboard on which some of the postcards I send from my MWiB travels are displayed. This photo is also very significant, because last year Rosemary went through treatment for breast cancer and lost all her hair – it is so good to see it grown back, very thick and very curly!

Friends are precious. This weekend I was able for the first time to worship with Rosemary at her church in Morden and meet some of her London friends, too. It was good and very therapeutic yesterday afternoon to ‘relax’ in front of the Wimbledon men’s final on TV and unwind after a busy week.
