Pamela and I have had a hilarious few minutes attempting to get something like a reasonably decent selfie as we wait to drop our luggage and go through security checks here at Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, before boarding our flight to Berlin this evening.
We are about to spend two weeks in Germany, visiting various Methodist communities involved in working with migrants and refugees, particularly in Berlin, Hamburg and Chemnitz. On Thursday we shall be staying in Leipzig with Rev Christin Eibisch, who will be one of our workshop leaders at the Swanwick weekend. We will be speaking there at a women’s fellowship meeting.
Next week we move on to Stuttgart, to attend a Leadership Training Seminar for International and Migrant Methodist Congregations in Europe. Pamela returns home on Wednesday 25 January and I fly back on Friday 27 January. The only way to sign off today has to be “Auf Wiedersehen!”
