Lancashire District MWiB Conference 2024<\/strong>
\nMethodist Women in Britain held the Annual District Conference at the Glendower Hotel in
\nSt Annes on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th February. We had a wonderful time of
\nfellowship, friendship and fun.
\nThe excellent speaker was Deacon Denise Creed who has now retired and
\nlives in Llandudno but was previously a Deacon in the South Fylde Circuit. The
\ntopic for the daytime sessions was ‘ The Lord is my Shepherd’. Psalm 23. Denise gave us
\nmuch to ponder on about this very popular Psalm. We also sang some lovely
\nhymns.
\nIn the evening we had a social time together of fun and games. There were four
\nteams of approximately eight in each and we were all extremely competitive,
\nLadies from the Liverpool District and the Bolton and Rochdale District had been
\ninvited to join us and it was good to get to know them.
\nThe hotel staff were very kind to us and the food was good.
\nWe ended on Tuesday afternoon with a Love feast which was very moving and
\ninspiring. I recommend this event to anyone who feels they would like to go next year.<\/p>\n
