Saturday 21st<\/sup> February 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A Prayer based on the bible verse which was ultimately my call to preach. Psalm 46 v 10<\/p>\n

\u2018Be still, and know that I am God\u2019<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Father, you speak and say \u2018Be Still\u2019\u2026and I feel it is a reprimand as I am rarely still.<\/p>\n

So busy; much to do; people to see; places to go.<\/p>\n

And much of my busyness is \u2018church\u2019 and so I tell myself it\u2019s all OK- because it\u2019s all for You.<\/p>\n

But there are times when my life is so crowded and frantic that my focus is pulled too many ways.<\/p>\n

And so\u2026.sometimes \u2013 often- I long just to sit<\/p>\n

Alone<\/p>\n

And pray<\/p>\n

And read<\/p>\n

And think<\/p>\n

And learn<\/p>\n

And know\u2026.<\/p>\n

Know You better; know that You are my God, my Father\u2026and to be truly still \u2013 quiet, resting in Your presence, peaceful and fixed on You<\/p>\n

And so I ask for forgiveness for my failures and for the times when my priorities have not been correct;<\/p>\n

Teach me humility and true obedience;<\/p>\n

Help me to relieve and let go of the stresses in my life which keep me from You<\/p>\n

Lead me to that stillness and peace that I crave;<\/p>\n

Let me know that you are God \u2013 my God.<\/p>\n

Each morning and evening, may I rest in Your presence and Your abiding love.<\/p>\n

Amen<\/p>\n
