I come from a strong Methodist background, with my parents being founder members of their Church. I worked in the NHS as a midwife for over forty years. I am a local preacher and involved in Messy Church, Mums and Toddlers and pastoral care. Our two sons and their families live nearby and I enjoy the involvement with our three grandchildren.
While Birmingham MWiB district president I chose to support a partnership within “Open Doors”, which enables Christian women in Myanmar to be educated and trained in leadership roles within their own churches. They gain confidence, self-esteem and status in society and we saw, embraced in the support we gave, the whole ethos of MWiB.
