Lincolnshire ladies met for a creative day with Jude Simms.
Titled ‘Living Word’ we met in the beautiful Methodist church in Nettleham near Lincoln and were led in opening worship by Rev Juliet Wrigglesworth.
Jude shared her journey in creative writing and how she uses her creative skills to explore God’s Word, encouraging us to be creative and play just as God our creator intended.
In the morning, with much conversation and sharing, the ladies each produced a beautiful journal to be used for reflecting further on God’s Word to each of us.
In the afternoon we explored how using the 5 senses we can look deeper into stories of the Bible and at the end of the afternoon some of the ladies shared written work they had created during the time. Jude concluded the afternoon by sharing a new take on the Christmas story which she had written.
Tea and cake – of course – fortified us for the journey home after a day of creative conversation and creativity as we enjoyed being creative as God intended.
