Area Trustee Northampton and Notts & Derby

Menesia is Area Trustee for Northampton and Notts & Derby

I was raised in the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe, where I took part in the Young Girls’ Christian Union and Methodist Youth. After training and working as a Registered General Nurse at Parirenyatwa School of Nursing in Harare, I moved to live and work as a nurse in England 24 years ago. Since then, I have worked across the NHS in roles including Intensive Care Nurse, Critical Care Outreach nurse, and Emergency Care Services. I continue to serve the NHS part-time as a Registered Nurse and hold a BSc (Hons) in Specialist Health Critical Care Nursing from De Montfort University, Leicester.

Alongside nursing, I have developed a strong interest in nutrition and wellbeing. I am a registered Nutritional Therapist and Functional Medicine Practitioner with BANT and CNHC, and I am currently completing my studies for an MSc in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Aberdeen, with a particular interests in women’s health, nutrition for disease prevention and nutrition across all life stages.

Faith and fellowship remain central to my life. I am an active member of the Methodist Church Zimbabwe Fellowship UK-  Milton Keynes branch, the Ruwadzano/Manyano (women’s fellowship), branch choir, intercessory prayer and evangelism groups, and nationally as a member of the MCZF-UK National Choir Committee. I serve as a church member and Steward at my local community’s Kettering Central Methodist Church.

I share deeply in the Methodist commitment to being a Justice-Seeking Church, affirming that each of us are created in God’s image with equal value and dignity. I am delighted to serve as an Area Trustee for MWiB, supporting women in their discipleship, fellowship, and work for justice in Christ.
In my spare time, I enjoy early morning walks, gardening with my husband Andrew, and spending time with our two wonderful adult children, for whom we give thanks to God.
