Hello, I’m Chris Thompson and I live in a village in the Staffordshire Moorlands and worship in the Chester & Stoke on Trent District. I am actively involved within my local church as a church steward, pastoral visitor and worship leader. I am an active promoter of MWiB within my local circuit (Potteries Mission) and enjoy being part of my District’s MWiB planning team.
This MWiB Area is huge and doesn’t map well onto the new Methodist Districts which is a challenge we are working through. Another challenge is communication with individual churches across the Area, to raise awareness of the work of MWiB and the resources available for use within worship and groups. I love working in my garden (which seems to be getting larger as I grow older!) I also have a passion for Fair Trade and Trade Justice; and I love cats. When I’m not gardening I like to do puzzles including jigsaws and cryptic crosswords
