I was born in Surrey but have a heart for Africa, having lived in Zambia in my twenties and Ghana in my sixties. I started Sunday School at two and a half, was confirmed as an Anglican at fourteen but on moving to a village outside Lincoln at 22 I was invited to become a Methodist member, responding with, “ Providing I can be both Anglican and Methodist, that’s fine”, so probably very ecumenical since it was United Church of Zambia while there and the school, where I most enjoyed teaching was Roman Catholic. I am married to Ian, have three married sons and five grandchildren. The World Church and justice in it’s widest forms are very important to me. The best thing about living in the West Midlands is the racial mix and the worst is the distance from the sea, having moved here from Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.

I enjoy Country Dancing, swimming, travelling in our motorhome, preparing worship as I , eventually gave into the call to be a Local Preacher and being part of a Bible Fellowship, in various places, since 16 has been a big part of my life. My mantra from one of Wesley’s sermons is ‘We may not always think alike but we can always love alike’ and this is a dream with which I live.
