World Federation Area Officer 2016-2021
Carolyn is Vice President of the Britain and Ireland unit of the World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women
As well as holding the Area Vice President role, I am also part of the MWiB Executive. My role, amongst other things, is to continue to build links between Methodist women in Britain, Ireland and the rest of the world, liaising with the World Church Relationships team.
I worked as a Primary teacher until my husband and I went to serve as Mission Partners in South America. We have been back in the UK since 2014 and I now live near Dartmoor in Devon with Mark, who is a Methodist Minister, and our two cats! I have two daughters who are both married to wonderful men and live in Manchester and Bath, and have recently become a Nanny for the first time to little Arianna.
I am passionate about the great commission (Matthew 28 vs 19) and have a love for the church around the world in all its forms. I love to preach and teach and use the gifts God has given me to bring people to know Jesus and to grow in their discipleship. I am enthusiastic about women’s issues and have a heart to see women develop and to nurture them in their faith.
I have enjoyed my first year in this role and look forward to what God has in store for the coming years as I work together with my sisters from around the world.
