WFM&UCW President Emerita
Alison is World President Emerita of the World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women
Elected at the 13th World Assembly in Houston, Texas, in August 2016, she served in this role until the delayed 14th World Assembly held online in August 2022.
Previously, I had been Area President for Britain and Ireland 2011-2016, and thus part of the executive of Methodist Women in Britain, during that formative period. I count it an enormous privilege to be able to travel extensively as part of my role, and learn from women in very different cultures what it means to be a follower of Jesus. His promise to the disciples recorded in Acts 1:8 has become a very significant verse to me as I witness the amazing work of God ‘here, there and everywhere’. I am a local preacher, a former mission partner, a wife and mother of two. I live with my husband Les just outside Southampton. I love walking in the countryside, sharing meals with friends and family, and engaging with the women of the Federation.
