Jenny is Area Trustee for the West Midlands District & Mid Wales
I grew up in the wild and beautiful landscape of North Cornwall, where my faith was shaped by the rhythms of nature and the warmth of community. Today, I am pleased to serve as a trustee of Methodist Women in Britain, a role that allows me to support and amplify the voices of women across the Church.
Inclusion is a core value for me—especially disability inclusion, which is close to my heart as someone living with multiple sclerosis. I believe the Church should be a place where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. I also have a strong interest in safeguarding, and I’m committed to helping create spaces that are safe, respectful, and nurturing for all.
Outside of my trustee role, I’m married to Mervyn and I’m a deacon and proud mum of four and grandmother to four wonderful grandchildren. My family brings me endless joy—and so does my dog, who keeps me grounded, entertained, and always up for a walk, rain, or shine.
Whether I’m contributing to national strategy or engaging with local networks, I see my role as part of a wider calling: to walk alongside others in faith, challenge injustice, and help build a Church that reflects God’s love and radical hospitality.
