I have only been going to MWiB meetings for a few years, but it hasn’t taken me long to become fully involved. I have just become the Forum Rep for the Scotland District.
I am now in my third year of retirement from being a primary school teacher and have time to explore new opportunities. In 2013 I took the old Worship Leaders course and enjoyed being part of the team at church to plan services when there was a local arrangement. I was also often asked to take the Children’s Address, which was great fun, but I felt God was calling me to do more. In November 2014 I began to train as a Local Preacher. I’m studying using the new Worship: Leading and Preaching course which is extremely interesting, but can be very hard going!
I’ve been described as a ‘circuit person’ as besides helping at the CAP Job Club at my own church, I volunteer at the community project at another church and help to run Messy Church at a third. I’m also a Circuit Steward.
I live alone, apart from my cat, and enjoy photography and travel.
