On the nearest Saturday to the 26 October each year, we celebrate World Federation Day to mark the founding of the World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women, (WFM&UCW). This year it falls on Saturday 24 October 2015. To celebrate this day we are holding a World Federation event at Towcester Road Methodist Church in Northampton, see the attachments below for the full details.
The day will focus on the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) and the progress that has been made towards achieving these targets since their launch in 2000. We will also start to look at the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which are the next phase in working towards a more equal world and maintaining our planet. The format of the day will be an interactive exhibition with a speaker at each end of the day and a chance to ask questions of a panel. This event is open to both women and men and we look forward to welcoming you to Northampton.
