MWiB Pilgrimages

MWiB Pilgrimages
May 17, 2017 Liz Marriott
St. Cuthbert

For the past three years MWiB has been arranging pilgrimages open to any women with an interest in Christian spirituality and a desire to explore that further. Five groups of women have now walked a pilgrimage route between Durham and Lindisfarne, led by Jill Baker, and another group travelled together to Israel/Palestine in November 2015. This route is currently not being offered, but more information about it will appear here in due course, if you are interested in taking a group yourself.

A new walking route, in Scotland, is also being developed, linking Glasgow, founded by St. Mungo in the early 7th Century, with Whithorn, where it is thought that St. Ninian was the first to bring Christianity to Scotland when he landed there around 397.  This route is unlikely to be offered before 2018, but do email Jill at pilgrimages@mwib.org.uk if you would like to be kept in touch with developments.

For more general information about pilgrimage, do visit the pages on the Methodist Church website at: http://www.methodist.org.uk/deepening-discipleship/pilgrimage
