It is with much regret and not a little sadness that I am writing, on behalf of the Methodist Women in Britain Executive, and our keynote speakers Jill Baker and Fiona Kendall, to let you know that in the current global situation regarding the Covid-19 virus we are cancelling the Swanwick weekend this year.
I know that there will be much disappointment, but we have been following the changing guidance day by day for some little while, and we must consider our duty of care to everyone. So, we have concluded that in order to keep everyone as safe as possible we must cancel the event.
We have investigated the possibility of postponing the event to later in the year, but unfortunately this has not proven to be a viable option. The Hayes Conference Centre are seeking to be as supportive as possible to help mitigate the inevitable financial losses which will be incurred.
All delegates will be hearing from us very soon with regard to reimbursement of conference fees; please be patient as it may take some days to work through all the payments.
