The MWiB motto is “for women, for justice, for Christ”
This past week I was invited to give a talk to one of our MWiB groups in my circuit. I like going and meeting fellow ladies and spending time in fellowship with them, share their stories of life experiences
It wasn’t difficult to choose a theme, as I flicked through the pages of Women of the Bible, the victorious, the victims, the virtuous, and the vicious; it’s an interesting concept
Even now in the 21st century, women still have to make their voices heard, be seen, battle against prejudice, unfairness and misogyny
Gracious God, we think of Mary, Jesus‘ mother; Mary Magdalene, Ruth, Miriam; of Joanna, of the Samaritan woman; of Priscilla, Pheobe, Lydia; the Marys’ at the foot of the cross; the wife of Job, Pilate’s wife, Joanna and those women too many to mention.
Lord, we pray for women everywhere, who pave the way, and stand up for justice and equality. May women, who work tirelessly for the benefit of all, seek the recognition they deserve in every walk of life, job or situation
Our prayers given for your glory. Amen
