Tuesday 29 December 2015 – Narnia

We live very close to Killerton House, where there is currently a wonderful recreation of the land of Narnia.  This morning Katie and I set off early enough to be there when it opened, just ahead of the hoards of families who had also come to enjoy the beautifully sunny morning in the house and grounds.

A friend had visited earlier in the week.  Her comment to me was that “Aslan is a bit disappointing – they should have made him soft and furry, but then children would have had to be prised off!”  I see what she meant, especially having watched the film ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ again this evening. 

Here two young visitors are nevertheless captivated by Aslan and stand stroking his mane, even though it is not soft and furry!
