I am not quick enough to remember to get out my camera! This morning I should have photographed my heroic husband-son team, at work with chainsaws in this lane as they sawed up and cleared a fallen tree. Storm Imogen howled around us for much of the day and made local travel challenging. The emergency services and others in the community have worked tirelessly to ensure safety and to try to restore power to homes in the area.
This photograph was not taken today! I have borrowed it shamelessly from my youngest daughter’s Facebook photos. She entitles it ‘Home’ and always says how much she loves this view. Katie was home briefly at the weekend, as was Sophie, and it was a treat to have the whole family around the table – even if they did beat me every time at Rummikub!
