After a bank holiday I am always taken by surprise by how quickly Wednesday comes around! Yesterday I tidied away from the weekend and made up the guest room again, following Jackie and Briant’s visit. As I changed the water in a vase of beautiful flowers which they brought me last Friday, I realised that we had been so busy that I had not really taken time to appreciate how stunning the colours were. Jesus encouraged the disciples to ‘consider the lilies of the field’ and to recognise their beauty, which surpassed even the splendour of King Solomon. He also encouraged them to trust God for their own needs.
