August has been a quieter month in terms of travelling and speaking in my role as President of MWiB. July was busy, with Methodist Conference and the induction training event for new Forum reps, but since the middle of last month I have been able to complete tasks at a more leisurely pace, and to catch up with friends and family and even the dreaded housework! I have planned ahead as much as possible, so that I will not find that September, and the onset of MWiB business and meetings again, comes as too much of a shock.
On Sunday I shall head up to Heathrow, ready to fly out with other women to Houston, Texas for the 13th World Assembly of the World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women. Another opportunity which I never expected.
A photo tonight of one of the places where Ken and I took time out to relax and reflect last weekend, on Bossington Hill in Somerset, looking down over Porlock Weir.
