A sizeable contingent of the British Methodist women who attended the World Assembly in Houston travelled back together on Sunday. Alison and Carolyn are on their way home now, having stayed on for further meetings. We hope that their journey will be as smooth as ours was, especially after the reported disruption to British Airways flights yesterday.
I am still waiting to discover who has the group photo which was taken of our Unit on Friday morning at Houston and will post it on here when I can. In the meantime here is a photo of Rachel Allison, our Helen Kim Memorial Scholar. She is the one holding the microphone. These young women engaged in an exciting leadership training programme and presented splendidly to the whole assembly in Friday morning.
Rachel will also make a presentation at our World Federation Day in Taunton in October. It was a privilege for me to get to know her during our week together in Houston and to explore ideas about her involvement in our work. Please pray for her as she prepares to return to her studies and also to serve in various ways throughout the coming year.
