I really hope I did not confuse too many readers on Sunday, as I reflected on my journey of the past two years, since I decided to leave teaching and also applied to become the voluntary President of MWiB. I might have written slightly ambiguously, as a couple of people understood that I was returning to teaching! Please let me reassure you that, God willing, I shall remain as President of MWiB until July 2017, when I shall step down to make way for the next person to be President. We are looking for that person now, and have advertised via our website, via Methodist districts and in various publications.
If you, or someone you know, might feel called to the exciting privilege of leading this charity, together with a small executive group and the larger forum (representing every Methodist district in the country), please contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org and I will be happy to talk through the possibilities with you. The deadline for applications is now Monday 25 January 2016. Full details and application forms may be found here.
