Whose stupid idea was this?” was the question that echoed across the hall at Cober Hill as a group of women tackled the challenge of origami this afternoon. They had all joined the activity voluntarily, although one woman confessed that she had signed up to fold paper boxes and foil stars because she “thought it would be easy”!
Seriously, we had a lot of fun, as we helped each other to fold boxes and stars. This was not about who could make the best box – the process was more important than the product. Others danced, or wrote, or made music, and many of us walked or rested, too.
The craft was an optional activity, but in reply to the original question, it was my stupid idea!
