This afternoon Jackie and Briant Smith arrived after a long and typically slow bank holiday weekend motorway journey from Suffolk to Devon. We are hosting some of the Sew Spiritual quilts in our Methodist chapel here in Halbrton tomorrow. Tonight Jackie and Briant set up the exhibition and it is wonderful to see our church filled with colour and texture. Two years ago it would have been impossible to have displayed the quilts in our building, but now, with pews removed and glass doors installed to let in light, the space lends itself perfectly.
