Wednesday 27 July 2016 – Bethlehem youth theatre on tour in UK

Garth Hewitt

Over the next few days I intend to draw attention to various events and resources which I have become aware of recently and which may be of interest to you or to people you know.

First is a youth theatre tour, promoted and facilitated by the Amos Trust. We were privileged that Garth Hewitt joined Paul Field in concert at Methodist Central Hall Westminster back in May, as we brought to a culmination our MWiB work with the Dalit people. You can find more details of this tour and its venues on www.amostrust.org. Here is a resume from the website:

Beautiful Resistance – Alrowwad In The UK

14 young people from Alrowwad Centre for Culture & Arts in Bethlehem, Palestine will visit the UK this summer to experience life outside the constraints of their daily lives inside a refugee camp.

See them live in London, the Festival Fringe, Fringe Central Programme, Just Festival and the Festival of Politics in Edinburgh, Greenbelt Arts Festival and at special events in Bristol, Leeds & Derby.

For the first night of the Beautiful Resistance Tour, the young people from Alrowwad Youth Theatre in the West Bank will join Amos Trust Founder, Garth Hewitt and Palestinian singer and broadcaster, Reem Kelani for a very special night of music, dance and film as we kick-off a month of very special events across the UK.

Join us in the beautiful Methodist Central Hall Westminster for what we hope will be an amazing start to an incredible tour.

Tickets: £12 (£9 concs.) available from garthandreem.eventbrite.co.uk
