As I said on Thursday, we worked so hard at the exec meeting on Wednesday that I forgot to take a photo. The team was not complete, as Carolyn had been ‘stranded’ in South Devon because Storm Angus had caused flooding on the main line between Exeter and Taunton. Even getting to Exeter from her home in Kingsbridge would have been an expedition!

So there were four of us – Sandra, Gillian, Jude and myself – with Lynne taking the notes. We are so grateful that she does that for us, thus freeing us up to be fully involved in discussion and decision making.

We are quickly getting to know each other as the new team, and valuing the gifts we each bring to the table. Today, with permission, a lovely photo of Jude, our new communications officer, at her graduation last Friday. Alongside her job and her other activities she has recently completed an MA in Creative Writing, with distinction, from Sheffield Hallam University. The course involved studying prose, poetry and script-writing, with a final submission of 15 000 words of a contemporary crime novel set in the USA. I am in awe! Congratulations! We look forward to the publication of the novel!
