Sticky notes

Another week has passed since my last blog. At the beginning of this week I spent a couple of days with special friends who have journeyed with me, and I with them, through many life events since we were teenagers. We met originally on a Girls’ Brigade summer camp and have remained friends ever since, meeting up occasionally and sharing each other’s joys and sadnesses.

Apparently, a couple of years ago, I made a comment to one of them about how useful post it notes are. Beware of making such comments! The result, to celebrate my recent birthday, was a collection of sixty different sets of post it notes!

I have packed some of the post its into my case to take to Leeds today for the MWiB Forum, where they will indeed be useful. Please remember the forty women who will be travelling to Hinsley Hall to represent MWiB across the Connexion and to make decisions and plans. I will do my very best to remember to post a photo of the Forum meeting this weekend!

Please continue to pray also for Beth Leeming, who is currently volunteering for two weeks as a midwife in a refugee camp on the Greek island of Samos. The prayer for next week, on this website, is a poignant reminder for me of the people I met in that country last year, and how their plight continues.

If you are coming to the Swanwick weekend you should by now have received several emailed documents – a welcome letter, a health form, a copy of the programme and the list of workshop choices. If these have not arrived in your inbox, do check your spam or junk mail. If you still do not have them, then all of the documents listed above may be found on this website by searching ‘Swanwick’ or by following this link

Swanwick Residential Weekend 2017

Those without email addresses will receive their documents in the post over the next few days. I am grateful to all who volunteer as registrar and administrators for the organisation of this event and for so many of the other tasks which are necessary to it. I am so grateful to be part of such a willing and cheerful team of volunteers! Thank you all.
