14th World Assembly POSTPONED

14th World Assembly POSTPONED
May 11, 2020 Judith Simms
On Saturday 9th May 2020 we received the following letter from Mataiva Robertson, World Secretary of WFMUCW, announcing the difficult decision taken to postpone the 14th World Assembly due to take place in Gothenburg in August 2021:

Dear Sisters,

Greetings in the almighty name of Jesus! I pray this email finds you and your loved ones safe and well.

The World Executive met recently to discuss and evaluate the impact of the coronavirus pandemic worldwide.
In light of the current Covid19 pandemic, the World Executive have decided to postpone the 14th World Assembly to the 2nd–7th August 2022.

These are certainly unprecedented times. A year ago, none of us imagined such a possibility. There is a lot of uncertainty around travelling abroad from different countries and it would be remiss of us to not consider this potential barrier. We always need to be prepared for the unexpected but be assured of God’s guiding hand in all we do.

I shall continue to provide updates. However, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Stay well and know that you and your loved ones continue to be lifted in prayer by the World Executive and sisters worldwide.

Yours in Christ,

Mataiva D Robertson
