So, we come to Week 2 when we continue to consider what God is saying to us at the beginning of this new year. Maybe, we have given up on our New Year resolutions or maybe we are still continuing with the task we set ourselves. Are we still sorting out those boxes and bags we laid aside just a few weeks ago?
Do we need to consider a new call from God or even to withdraw from something so that we can concentrate on the next thing that God would have us do.
As we continue to sort out our boxes and bags of life, let us also continue to seek God’s guidance for the journey ahead
‘There is a time to be silent and a time to speak’
We are part way through the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which this year has the theme ‘do good : seek justice’
This week we pray for all involved with the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, for those who seek to educate us about different parts of the world, including our own country, wherever we live. We pray for the Global Relations Team in the Methodist Church and for all they do to support their Mission Partners in so many different areas.
We thank you for the work of the Easter Offering Service produced by Methodist Women in Britain which raises such vital funds for the World Church.
And we pray for our continuing journey with God that we may walk with Him more fully and in unity this year, particularly when there seems to be so much dis-unity in the world
O magnify the Lord with me
With me exalt His name
When in distress to Him I called
He to my rescue came
Spring – a time of hopefulness as we look forward to warmer and longer days
