Lincolnshire District compose a song

Lincolnshire ladies met for their summer at District Day in the beautiful South Lincolnshire countryside at Gosberton Clough chapel.

We had a most interesting and amazing time with Music and our speaker…….Rev. Dr. Val Ogden.   The song has been sent to us by our speaker who tells me we can use this as we wish with our groups that meet or in Worship if you feel it appropriate when you next have an Own Arrangement.   It was put together around MWiB theme and the 3 verses were written by 3 different groups.  1^st about Women,  2^nd about Justice and 3^rd Christ.   Val wrote the chorus and it is sung to the tune of…………wait for it……………I want to teach the world to sing by the New Seekers………….I hope you can all remember this!!!!!

1. We long to see all women free to speak their minds and learn; To walk in paths of dignity, for this we pray and yearn.

To share the love of Jesus Christ which God to us imparts.
