Prayer for the Week – 26th August 2023
August 26, 2023 Bronwen

Moving House, Starting a New Job, Starting a New Way of Life anywhere, at University, in a bigger School, Whatever is happening to us, we need you with us to guide us and give us courage and strength to face a New Challenge, whatever it might be.  Jesus travelled about during his Ministry and found that Prayer was an important part of his everyday life.  We need to pray to keep ourselves in touch with God and remember he is with us always so we need to communicate with him and share our fears, our pleasures, our achievements and to let him be a part of our lives every day.  Jesus went to pray often and tried to teach his disciples to do the same, but they didn’t always listen and thought Jesus would do it for them.  We must remember to pray for ourselves and our families and friends and all those we hear about but do not know.  Include every situation in our prayers as much as possible to try to make everyone’s lives more worthy and pleasant.

Jesus friend of little children, be a friend to me,

take my hand and ever keep me close to thee.

Father thank you for being my friend and guiding me through life.  Help me to share your love and kindness with others I come in touch with.  Help me to find time to be with you in prayer each day, to thank you for your goodness and blessings on me, help me to remember to say Thank You and to spread your word in my everyday life.   In Jesus name we pray AMEN.
