Sat 5th October 24 For the Healing of the Nations
For the healing of the nations, Lord we pray with one accord;
for a just and equal sharing of the things that earth affords.
To a life of love in action help us rise and pledge our word.
Romans 12 v 12-13 says: “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practise hospitality.” These are simple instructions, but difficult for us to maintain. We need to be aware of the needs of others, some who we wouldn’t usually connect with when we are in our comfort zones, showing love in our actions towards them. The wise use of our resources, to protect the future, is required by us all and will ensure future generations can benefit.
Let us Pray: We come to you today Lord seeking your help to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer. We ask that we will be mindful of others, the environment which surrounds us and will be led by your Spirit in all our actions. The wonder of nature is abundant in our country, but in a world of need and destitution where wars and famine prevail, we pray for restoration to the wonders of nature and your peace. Help us to be worthy citizens in your name and show your love, patience and care in our lives. Amen
