Saturday 6 December 2025: Peace among Nations, Peace within Hearts
Reflection
On 8 December 1955, the Council of Europe adopted the European flag as a symbol of unity, cooperation, and shared hope. As the world continues to experience division and conflict, we pray for Europe and all nations: – That they would choose dialogue over violence, welcome over walls, and peace over pride.
Prayer
Lord of all nations,
We thank you for moments in history that point to unity and shared purpose.
We pray for the continent of Europe,
for its churches to be renewed,
its leaders to be guided by wisdom,
and its people to live with open hearts.
In a time of rising tensions and growing fears,
Make us peacemakers.
Help us sow peace in our families,
in our communities, and across borders.
Let your peace begin with us.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
