The Ecumenical Forum of European Christian Women (EFECW) is what it says on the tin – a fully ecumenical movement with members from over 30 countries across Europe. It has 3 Co-Presidents – one Orthodox, one Roman Catholic and one Protestant. In existence since long before the fall of the Iron Curtain, it has campaigned on all sorts of issues including people trafficking, the environment, inclusion of women in the political and theological spheres, etc.
We keep in touch via the website, and meet in a General Assembly every 4 years, and there is an annual National Co-ordinators’ meeting, held in a different country each year.
