On the morning of Friday 13th December about 65 people gathered at the Triangle Methodist Church in Bolton to enjoy an hour of Carols and seasonal readings organised by the Circuit MWiB group. We were joined by a group of visitors from an Anglican church, people from other parts of the District, and regulars from the church cafe. We did this for the first time last year and in spite of dreadfully wet weather this year even more people came to share with us, in coffee, mince pies and choosing carols. None of the readings was ‘Biblical’ as such, but the real message of Christmas came through in poetry, prose and humour.
