A relaxed Sunday afternoon blog, before the hard work of Methodist Conference begins in earnest tomorrow, Linda and I, with our husbands, Eric and Ken, have just shared Sunday lunch together in a cafe here in sunny Southport. The men have now returned home, leaving us here for the rest of the week.
We worshipped together as Conference this morning, and received the ordinands and deacons into full connexion. Many ordination services will take place this evening, times of great significance and rejoicing, and we thank God for those who serve our church in this way.
