Yesterday I wrote about the morning session of the Plymouth and Exeter District Day. After lunch our speaker was Carolyn Lawrence, who will succeed Alison Judd in August 2016 as World Federation Area Unit President. Carolyn shared her story, emphasising how she has seen God working in her life, especially in the areas of self-esteem and self-worth.
Carolyn and her husband, Mark, worked overseas for a while, and I am sure that this experience will be used by God as she helps us to appreciate the issues faced by women in other parts of the world. The collection from the day was shared between MWiB and Release Women, part of the work of Release International. This was Carolyn’s chosen charity and you can read more about their work to support persecuted Christians by following this link.
