A busy day at Methodist Conference but also a thoughtful day, as we received the Report of the Past Cases Review, with a standing vote and bowed heads.
Reverend Susan McIvor has portrayed the 1885 survivors of abuse identified in the review with a simple but thought-provoking visual presentation which is shown in today’s photograph. This is an extract from the prayer which accompanies the artwork:
Life-giving God, we are so sorry for what some of us within the Church have done to your children…help us to build the Church as a safer space, a place of healing and wholeness for all who need it. Amen.
