Conference began this morning with Holy Communion and we then went into a very full day of business. This afternoon MWiB were involved in a Notice of Motion encouraging Methodist churches to consider how they might offer support to migrants. Tonight Linda, Liz and I joined Blossom and Femi at a gathering to consider issues of the Church and racial inclusion, organised by the Methodist Church Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Race Stakeholder Forum. We listened to the Zimbabwe Gospel Choir as we ate together and then heard thought-provoking talks from Dr Rev Inderjit Bhogal, OBE, Dr Antony Reddle and Denise Lester. It has been good to spend time with other MWiB Forum reps here, too, even though there has not been very much time to talk! This morning I spotted that Mary and I have the same taste in skirts! Blessings, Anne x
