I really will try to stop blogging about food, although as we have been evaluating this year’s GB camp today, and have asked the girls what has been best, very often the answer has been “the food”!
It was much the same story when I worked in a secondary school. New pupils would have a ‘taster day’ in the summer term before joining Year 6 and inevitably we would be told that they had gone home and enthused, not about their maths or English lessons, but about the food!
Here is the team who have worked hard all week to feed the campers, as they prepare porridge and more of the infamous eggy bread this morning. Thanks have been expressed to them and tonight they will all spend their last night under canvas before packing away the tents and equipment for another year.
A short blog tonight, from a rather tired blogger! It has been a busy week, with lots of early mornings and late nights, but I am glad to have been involved in this part of the life journeys of these young (and not so young) women.
