It was a treat to be worshipping with my own church family in Halberton this morning and especially to share communion together. I introduced our congregation to the beautiful hymn by Claire Stainsby, ‘Come, my table is a meeting place’ (Singing the Faith 581) which I first sang at MWiB Connexional Forum in October. We caught up with each others’ news over coffee after the morning service and shared stories, ‘theological reflections’ and lots of laughter.
This afternoon Ken and I came out onto the Grand Western Canal and made the most of the daylight hours before the sun set. Tomorrow morning I head off to Northampton with Carolyn Lawrence, where we shall attend the conference ‘The Seven Deadly Sins of Women in Leadership’. What a title! I look forward to blogging about it as the week goes on, Internet access permitting!
