In my last blog I wrote about the ‘time out’ enjoyed by the MWiB executive at the Foxhill retreat centre in Frodsham. It seems quite a while ago now!
Travelling back to Bedfordshire, to collect husband David and Toby the terrier, the three of us returned to Cheshire to celebrate with Becky, my younger daughter who reached the grand age of 40 years on November 12th.
Following Remembrance Day worship, we joined other members of the family to enjoy a Sunday roast, with all the trimmings and various added extras. Pictured above, Becky is sitting next to her niece Lily, beneath an enormous birthday balloon. Cake and candles followed!
I was ‘grounded’ on Monday, by a routine car service, which gave me the opportunity to catch up with emails, admin tasks and a few chores before embarking on another birthday adventure with my daughters – a ‘spa’ day.
We were pampered and pummelled, fed and watered, exercised and rested. In other words, totally spoilt – and we thoroughly enjoyed it!
