Beginning
Everlasting and Unfathomable God,
Water
torrents, crashing, stream
ing,
Water
roaring, thundering.
Lightning shrieking, cutting,
breakers and heaving waves,
wind moaning in the darkness.
Something stirs,
soft and light,
dancing across the turbulent waters.
You whisper
‘Be still.’
Light reflects on the rain drops,
on the rolling waves.
Your living water sweeps over me
And stills my soul. Amen.
