Once again we’re raising money to enable women from poorer European countries to attend the Joint Area Seminar in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in June 2018, who would otherwise be unable join us. Coffee mornings, offerings, concerts, bring-and-buy sales, and events—there are so many creative and imaginative ways to raise money, and we look forward to seeing what you come up with in your District or Circuit!
At the Swanwick residential in April there will be a ‘Butterfly Bring and Buy Stall’ (as we had for Tenners for Texas, our Houston fundraising in 2016), so please bring, or send with someone else, any butterfly-themed items for the stall, and some money to buy an item or two yourself. Last time we had a huge variety of scarves, notebooks, pictures, mugs, jewellery, cards, candles, and much, much more.
Any items left at the end will be available to take back to your District as your own ‘Butterfly Stall Starter Kit’!
The Joint Area Seminar brings together women from across the two European units of the World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women (WFM&UCW) – Britain and Ireland, and Europe Continental.
