I am writing this at the end of a long and intense day here at King’s Park in Northampton. Since yesterday we have considered four of the ‘Seven Deadly Sins of Women in Leadership’ which Kate Colman addresses in her book of the same title. We have looked at how we see ourselves; drawing appropriate boundaries; establishing a healthy work-life rhythm; and tonight we have considered our families and friends.
It is again a humbling privilege to spend time together with a group of women whose aim is to love God and to love their neighbour. We have shared parts of our stories, in trust and in confidence, and have prayed with and for each other. As I have shared with these women I have prayed, too, for the women of the Cornwall District, as I prepare to share next week with them – another privilege for which I thank God.
