I do love Sundays! This morning I led all age worship in a church in a neighbouring circuit, where I preach every year or two. I shared with them some of the learning and experiences of the past two weeks. Tonight I was back in our own village for our monthly SoulFire event – buffet tea, a home-grown band, contemporary worship and a speaker. It was lovely to catch up with friends and this precious bunch of teenagers were happy to be photographed for today’s blog. Over the coming days I will try to introduce you to some of the people who are part of my life here in Devon – here are Kieran, James, Louisa and Suzie.
As I drove through the Devon lanes to my service this morning a red deer jumped out from a field and ran across the road in front of my car. I waited, and about 10 seconds later a young deer calf followed. It is an absolute privilege to come so close to nature and I am grateful for experiences like this which make the day special. I hope your day has been blessed, too, in some way that has made you aware of the love and care and wonder of our Creator God.
