Today the weather has changed to rain, after a recent beautifully warm and sunny spell. Yesterday people were still sitting outside for coffee and meals here in the Westcountry.
Today I have been on a quiet day organised within our Methodist Circuit. What a treat to be able to get away and spend time in quiet – reflecting, reading, creating, or simply doing nothing!
I found myself reflecting on an orange, as I held it in my hands; moulding air-drying clay, which was remarkably stubborn and unyielding until a little water was applied; and rediscovering verses from the Psalms, which I have at some stage underlined in my Bible.
This remains one of my favourites, Psalm 91, verse 4: He will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you will find refuge.
I share a photo I took yesterday, while the sun was still shining!
