I have returned late tonight from a very full and thought-provoking time at the MWiB-organised World Federation Day in Northampton.  We heard excellent keynote addresses from Meg Munn on the progress towards the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Sally Robertson who led us into the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), or Global Goals, which will now follow on.

There were eight excellent interactive presentations on the MDGs, each approached differently and creatively.  We set the whole day once again in the context of Christian worship and were warmly hosted by a local team who looked after us and provided copious amounts of tea and coffee and a delicious buffet lunch.

The photo I have chosen shows people in conversation just before the first session started – you may spot a friend or two amongst the crowd!  It was particularly good to welcome several people, women and men, who were attending their first MWiB event, and to have time to chat with so many during the course of the day.

I shall post another blog again on Monday!
